Very few children have that extra edge towards doing something different. Saumilya is one of them. At a very young age when Saumilya was just 8 years old, he developed his first machine which would help people climb steep hills. He was just having some fun at that time, but little did he know that he was learning so much at the same time. His passion was so strong that the next year he developed yet another machine- a locker with a fingerprint scanner.
In the year 2017, the Indian Government launched the Atal Innovation Mission or AIM with a vision to ‘Cultivate one Million children in India as Neoteric Innovators’ across the Nation. It was here that Saumilya’s dreams took shape and he started learning about microcontroller, programming along with many new things. With the help of his coach and mentor, Mr. Avneesh Methrotra, Saumilya was able to foster his creativity, curiosity, and imagination and build his skills of designing, programming, computing, and learning in this process.
A self and quick learner, Saumilya has learned with the help of his coach and Youtube videos. Though he spends only 30 minutes a day in his research and development work, his mind is always working towards creating something different. His determination and focus are what made him the Youngest Achiever from India today. His recent project is about Home Automation which aims at providing the best and cheap AI (Artificial Intelligence) based home automation.
Saumilya aims at becoming a Scientist and an Entrepreneur in the future and he is right on track.
